Order

Order times will differ between physical pieces and digital uploads. For physical pieces we aim to deliver your framed piece within 21 days of receiving your order. Digital prints will be printed, framed, and delivered within 10 days or less.

You will receive an email at each stage of the framing process allowing you to follow the status of your order. You can expect to hear from us:

  • On order confirmation
  • When we have sent out your packaging
  • When we have received your item at our workshop
  • When the frame is finished and dispatched from our workshop. If at any stage you have any questions please contact us at help@theframery.au

If your order hasn’t left the workshop yet, you’re in luck! You can still make changes, such as:

  • Changing the shipping address
  • Modifying the frame style
  • Adjusting the mat board style
  • Tweaking the layout

Simply get in touch with a member of our team, and we’ll work our magic. Please keep in mind that applying these changes might extend the turnaround time for your order.

Sizing and pricing

What we need to know is the width and height of your piece. These measurements will be the area that will be visible once the piece is framed. I.e., measure the dimensions of the graphical area for any art and don’t worry about additional white space. If you wish to have a border of white space, please let us know in the comments section.

For any objects that aren’t on paper, please tell us the overall width and height, making sure the object is less than 2.5 cm (25 mm) thick.

These measurements do not indicate the total size of the frame. Just the size of piece you want to be seen once framed.

What is the largest frame I can order? The largest piece that we can frame is 61x86cm. At this size the piece can only have a standard mat board boarder or smaller. If you have something larger than 61x86cm please contact us and we will see if we can help you with your piece

Our pricing structure is straightforward and size-based. The pricing is based on the size of the piece, not the frame. Please refer to our pricing page for more details.

Mailing in your art

Sending us your piece is a breeze with our free prepaid packaging options. There are two options:

  1. Use your own packaging, and we will supply a prepaid shipping label
  2. If you do not have packaging, we can send you a tube or flat mailer with a prepaid return label.

All our shipping is done through AusPost. Their extensive network means that you are always close to a drop off location.

Once your packaging arrives there are just five easy steps to get your piece to us:

  1. Place it in the packaging
  2. Fill in any additional information
  3. Safely secure and seal package
  4. Sign and stick on returns label (included)
  5. Drop off inside your local AusPost and collect your tracking receipt.

Your packaging will be sent within one business day. You will be provided a tracking notification email so you can track your packaging. If at any stage, you have any questions please contact us at help@theframery.au.

The safety and protection of your piece is paramount, and we back it with comprehensive insurance coverage. In the rare event of loss or damage, our support team will work diligently to replace the piece (up to $1,000). If replacement isn’t feasible, we’ll provide reimbursement based on the artwork’s value (up to $1,000).

Please note that documentation such as proof of value, an appraisal, proof of ownership or purchase is necessary in such cases. You will also need to provide the tracking receipt from AusPost to verify your piece was received by AusPost. Without the tracking receipt we cannot process the insurance claim.

Printing and digital uploads

We accept .jpg files with 8-bit colour profiles as standard.

That depends on your image. Generally, you want to aim for resolution to print at 300 dpi which you can work out by dividing the pixels by 300. I.e., if your image is 3600×2400 we recommend a print size of 12×8” or approximately 30×20 cm. However, this is just a rule of thumb and prints can still look alright down to 200 DPI, but the sharpness will be reduced slightly.

The largest size we can print is 61x86cm. At this size the piece can only have a standard mat board or smaller.

Prints are made using a 10-ink Epson Stylus Pro 9900 with genuine Epson HDR Ultrachrome pigment inks and media.

We use a fine-art “giclee” print process on 310 gsm inkjet photographic rag. This provides a high-quality matt finish with great tonality

Shipping and returns

Shipping is included in orders over $200. If you require expedited shipping please leave a note in the checkout section and we will contact you to arrange it and process any extra fees. The express shipping will include receiving your piece and delivering the final frame.

At The Framery, we take immense pride in our The Framery Guarantee. If, for any reason, you’re not absolutely delighted with your order, please reach out, and we will do your best to make it right for you.

To get started, contact us with your order number and provide as much detail and context as possible, including photos if available. This will help our team quickly rectify any issues or oversights

We recommend using the packaging your frame came in for a hassle-free return process, and we’ll provide you with a return label. If the packaging is no longer available, worry not; we can send you a new one.

All frames are shipped with protection in mind. A thick corrugated box, bubble wrap and corner protectors will ensure that your frame gets to you in pristine condition.

You will receive an email with your tracking number when your order has been dispatched.

Materials and service

Curious about what we can frame for you? The answer is, we can frame pretty much anything within a width and height (or height and width) of 61x86cm and 2.5cm deep. This includes everything from artwork and numberplates to vintage posters, cherished diplomas, fabric art, and more. Get in contact with our support team if you have any questions about your piece.

At The Framery, we take pride in offering a comprehensive custom framing service. Each frame is meticulously crafted to your piece’s precise specifications and every piece mounted using techniques that ensure it will last for years to come. As we custom-build every frame from the ground up, we require your piece to be sent to our workshop for framing. Our transparent pricing covers genuine custom framing and includes free shipping and packaging to get your piece to our workshop.

Every single frame is expertly sealed with custom backing tape, ensuring your piece remains shielded from dust and moisture. These sealed backs are intentionally designed to be non-removable, guaranteeing the longlasting protection and preservation of your cherished piece.

All our frames are crafted for wall hanging, complete with pre-installed hardware for hanging.

Only the best, our frames are made to last. To achieve that we only use materials that are of superior quality and built to last. We use:

  • Wooden mouldings
  • Acid free mat board
  • UV protective acrylic glazing

We prioritize your piece’s longevity and use top-quality materials and framing techniques. All materials are chosen to protected your piece including acid-free mat boards and foam boards to prevent discoloration, UV-protected acrylic, and sealing with a protective backing tape to shield against dust and debris.

Our packaging ensures protection. When you request mailing material we include all the necessary protection for your piece. Once framed, we hand pack every frame to protect it during shipping and safely get it to your door.

Our design service is a hassle-free, complimentary service to help you get the best frame for your piece. Within two days of receiving your request, expect an email from our design team with a few frame design mock-ups for you to choose from.
